The pre-requisites
(Yes, we have to ask), make sure you have an internet or data connection so that the app can receive information.
Ensure your estate is a valid estate with My Estate Life and has an active license subscription.
Starting off
Ensure you have downloaded the My Estate Life application.
To add a new address from scratch you will need to get the PropertyID from your estate or property manager first. (This is a QR or key that is associated to your estate/building)
To add a new address from scratch :
- Go through the add property flow - or see www.myestatelife.com/download for more.
To add a second property to your current profile :
- Go to Profile in the app
- Go to Manage my properties
- Add Property
- Follow the workflow
*Note : your added property will only show when it has been approved by the property manager.
How to use the property search :
This is a smart search box, that means as you type it will find associated results and show them in a drop down list, you will have to select a valid item from the list, you cannot put "anything" in this box, it needs to be a listed and selected property.
My property does not show up?
First step, try using the manual listing to see if your property is listed there or maybe named differently. IE: 10 Long Drive, might be listed as Long Drive 10.
Troubleshooting :
- Look to see if your unit has been listed as a developer ERF instead of street/door number. IE : 10 Long Drive could be ERF1234 or the developer reference.
- Look to see if your unit might be listed under the right village or floor.
Remember these address listings are added by your property manager, so if your address is not showing, Try contacting your managing agent or property manager to advise them.
They will be able to update the record to include your property.
